Powering Reliability… Driving Performance
When critical infrastructure demands reliability, precision, and engineering excellence, every detail matters. Omega Electrical Industries proudly took part in one of Jordan’s key infrastructure upgrades, delivering a high-capacity motor control and power distribution solution for Khaw and Abu-Alanda Pump Stations.
This project was not only about installing electrical systems — it was about ensuring the continuity of essential water infrastructure that serves communities and supports sustainable operations.
The Challenge
As part of the national infrastructure upgrade program, Hussein Atieh & Sons Co. entrusted Omega Electrical Industries with a complex and technically demanding assignment. The project required the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of high-capacity Main Distribution Boards (MDBs) and advanced Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems totaling 8 MW of installed power.
The challenge extended beyond equipment installation. The stations required seamless integration with existing systems, advanced motor performance optimization, and commissioning under sophisticated transformer configurations — all within strict project timelines.
The Omega Approach
Omega Electrical Industries approached the project with a commitment to engineering precision and operational excellence.
Our team designed and manufactured custom-built MDB panels using ABB increasing system, ensuring maximum safety, reliability, and maintainability. The power control solution was strengthened through the integration of eight ABB ACS880 ultra-low harmonic VFD systems, each rated at 1000 kW, delivering advanced motor control while improving power quality and energy efficiency.
Close coordination with the client and site teams allowed Omega to meet the project’s demanding schedule without compromising safety or quality standards.
The Result
By November 2025, Omega Electrical Industries successfully delivered and commissioned the full system, achieving outstanding operational results.
The upgraded stations now benefit from improved power quality, reduced motor starting current, enhanced system reliability, and optimized energy efficiency. Most importantly, the project was completed with zero safety incidents — reflecting Omega’s unwavering commitment to safe and professional project execution.
The successful delivery also strengthened client confidence and established another strong reference for Omega’s capability in handling large-scale infrastructure projects.
